Obituary for Debbie Ann Stinson

Debbie Ann Stinson, 55, of Madison Heights, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Lynchburg.

Debbie Ann Stinson, 55, of Madison Heights, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Lynchburg.

Born in Lynchburg, September 25, 1963, Debbie was the daughter of Charles R. and Dorothy Wooten Clements. She retired after 33 years as an Engineering Technician with the City of Lynchburg. She loved her time with family especially her sons who were the light of her life. She enjoyed time gardening, hiking and walking with her chocolate labs, Gracie and Maggie. The balance of her time healing and enduring her cancer was spent with Willis her tabby cat. Debbie’s favorite place to relax was on the beach at Oak Island, North Carolina.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Terrell A. Stinson of Madison Heights; parents, Charles R. and Dorothy Wooten Clements; two sons, Brandon A. Stinson and Colton E. Stinson both of Lynchburg; a brother, Timothy C. Clements; In-laws Wyatt A. and Norma M. Stinson; A loving sister in-law Pamela S. Boydoh and husband Mitchell L. Boydoh; Five nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, Addison Clements, Mallory Clements, Holden Clements, Paul W. Boydoh, his wife Tiffany Boydoh, and Andrew M. Boydoh, special friend Bella Adams.

Debbie appreciated her ladies’ groups and close friends through the years, which she enjoyed spending time with. Debbie deeply appreciated her friends that spent hours of their time sitting with her during her battle. A special thank you to the Oncology group Dr. Patel and his nursing staff. Additionally, Centra Hospice group which was instrumental in assuring her of comfort during her last few days.

A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at 11: 00 AM on May 11,2019 at Elon Baptist Church. Family will receive friends starting at 10:00AM prior to the service.
